Preview UpRush as any role, or as a specific member exactly as they see it, without signing in as them.

View as lets owners and admins check what other people see. It’s the quickest way to answer “can the client see this?”, to set up a new role with confidence, or to help a teammate who says something is missing. There are two kinds of preview.

A memberWhat exactly does this person see?Look only. The preview is read-only.

Preview a role

  1. Select your avatar in the dock to open the account menu.
  2. Under View as, pick a role: Owner, Admin, Team Manager, Dedicated Expert, Production Team, Finance, Sales or Client.
  3. UpRush reloads with that role’s dock, dashboard and pages. A banner at the top reads Viewing as followed by the role.
  4. Choose Exit in the banner to go back to your own view. Choosing the same role again in the menu also ends the preview.

When you preview the Client role, the banner shows which client you are looking at. If you have more than one client, use the picker in the banner to switch between them.

Preview a member

  1. Open the account menu and choose View as a member….
  2. Search for the person in Search people. Teammates are listed first, then clients.
  3. Select them. UpRush opens their home page exactly as they see it.
  4. A banner shows Viewing as with their name and roles, and reminds you: “You are seeing exactly what they see. Nothing you do here can change anything.”
  5. Choose Exit preview to return to your own view.

A member preview applies their real roles, their client assignments and any scoping, so it’s the honest answer to “what does this person see?”. It works for clients too: preview a client user to see their portal exactly as they do.

Good to know

  • Only owners and admins can use View as.
  • You can run one preview at a time. Starting a role preview ends a member preview, and the other way around.
  • Nobody is notified when you preview them, and previewing never signs you in as anyone.
  • A preview ends on its own after a few hours, and always when you sign out.
