What a Production Team member sees in UpRush: a dashboard of what needs you, a personal board of every task you are assigned, and a simple way to hand work off for review.

Who can do thisProductionUpdated 2026-10-07

If you are on the Production Team (your studio may call the role something else), UpRush is built around the work you are assigned. You see your tasks, their briefs and files, the feedback on them, the work offered to you and what you are owed. Production members are free: you do not take a paid seat.

Your dock has Dashboard, My work, Calendar, Timeline, Opportunities, Invoices and Messages, with Settings at the bottom. On a phone, the first four are tabs and the rest live under More.

What you can and cannot see

  • You see the tasks and projects you are assigned to, not the whole studio.
  • You see internal deadlines only. Client-facing dates are managed by your team.
  • You never see project values, client invoices or any other client money. Your own pay is in My pay and Invoices (see Assignments and pay).
  • Clients never see you as a contractor, your rates, your quotes or your internal comments.

Your dashboard

Dashboard is the place to start the day. A Waiting on you card lists anything that needs your action. Below it are tiles you can click through:

My Work

My work opens My Work, a personal board of every task you are assigned across all clients. Columns follow the internal workflow:

AssignedYours, not started yet.
In progressYou are working on it.
Internal reviewHanded off; a manager is checking it.
Client reviewWith the client. Nothing to do until they answer.
Needs revisionsChanges requested. Pick it back up.
ApprovedSigned off.
CompletedDone and delivered.

Each column is sorted by deadline. You can move a task by dragging it, or from the status menu on the task page under Next step. As a production member you can make these moves:

  • Assigned → In progress when you start.
  • In progress → Internal review when it is ready for a manager.
  • Internal review → In progress if you need to take it back.
  • Needs revisions → In progress when you pick up the changes.

Everything else (sending to the client, approvals, completion) is done by your managers. For the full picture of statuses, see Task statuses.

Hand off a deliverable for review

On a task’s Deliverables tab, each deliverable tracks its own progress. When yours is ready:

  1. Attach your file to the deliverable. The hand-off needs at least one attachment.
  2. Click Hand off for review.
  3. The deliverable shows Handed off · waiting on and your reviewer’s name. Your manager is notified.

Need to fix something first? Click Take back. If the manager sends it back, you are notified with their notes. More in Handing off and sending.

Let the studio know when you are busy

In Settings → Your profile, the Availability card lets you set a Status (Available, Limited or Unavailable), a Back / available from date and a note. Click Save availability. Your managers see it when planning who to assign.
