Scripts.

Write scripts in a clean paper editor, comment on any line, share with the client for line-by-line feedback, and send a review link to anyone.

Scripts give the words their own room. Write a spot, a VO, an interview guide or a long-form treatment on a full-width page, and let your team and the client comment on the exact line they mean. No more "page 2, third paragraph, the bit about the product" in an email thread.

Creating a script

  1. Open Library in the dock and switch to the Scripts tab.
  2. Click New script.
  3. Give it a Title, for example "Launch film: 60s script".
  4. Optionally pick a Project. Attaching one is what lets you share the script with that client later.
  5. Optionally pick a Task to keep the script filed with the request it belongs to.
  6. Create it. The editor opens.

Writing

A script is a stack of blocks, each either a heading or a paragraph of text. Hover between blocks to insert a new Text or Heading block. Drag a block’s handle to reorder it (or use the arrow keys on the handle), and use Delete block to remove one. A script can hold up to 200 blocks.

There’s no save button. The header shows "Saving…" and then "Saved" as you work.

The script panel (toggle it with the panel button in the header) has two parts: an Outline built from your headings, which you can click to jump around, and Details showing the client, the project and whether the script is Internal only or With the client.

Commenting on lines

  1. Hover the block you want to talk about and click its comment button (Comment on this block).
  2. Choose the stream: Internal for your team or Client for the client.
  3. Write the comment and post it.

Use Show comments in the header to open the comments rail. Each comment carries the line it’s about; click it ("Jump to") to scroll there. Comments about the script in general sit under On the whole script. Comments can be replied to, edited, resolved and deleted, and they arrive live.

Sharing with the client

The status plate in the header shows Internal or Shared with client.

  1. Make sure the script is attached to a project or client. Until it is, the Share button is disabled.
  2. Click Share in the header.
  3. Confirm with Share it. The client gets an email with a link to read it, and can comment on any line. Your internal comments stay internal.

The client reads the script on their portal and sees only Client-stream comments. To take it back, choose Stop sharing from the More script options menu. The script goes back to internal, and the client loses access to the page and the comments they left on it.

For a reviewer with no account (a voice artist, a client’s legal team), open More script options and choose Create review link. The link is copied to your clipboard and stays live for 60 days. Each script has one link; the menu then offers Copy review link.

  • Guests read the script and can download it as a PDF.
  • They can comment on any line or on the whole script after giving their name ("Leave your name to comment").
  • They see Client-stream comments only, and can reply but can’t resolve, edit or delete.
  • Revoke review link closes it. Comments they already left stay.
