Invitations live in Settings → Members, in the Invitations card. There are two kinds: an email invitation addressed to one person, and an invite link anyone can use. Both carry the roles the new member will get.

Who can invite whom

You areYou can invite
OwnerAnyone, with any roles, including other owners and admins.
AdminAnyone except owners and admins.
Dedicated ExpertClient users only, into a client organization they look after.

Invite one person by email

  1. Go to Settings → Members and choose Invite by email.
  2. Type their Email address.
  3. Tick one or more Roles. For a client, tick Client and pick their Client organization.
  4. Pick when the invite Expires in: 7, 14 or 30 days. The default is 14 days.
  5. Choose Create invitation.

UpRush sends them a branded email with an Accept button, and shows you the invite link too, so you can also send it directly. If the email couldn’t go out, you’ll see a note asking you to share the link yourself.

  1. Go to Settings → Members and choose Invite link.
  2. Tick the Roles everyone who uses the link will get (and a Client organization for a client link).
  3. Set Expires in and, optionally, Max uses (1 to 500). Leave Max uses blank for unlimited.
  4. Choose Create link and copy it.

Picking roles

  • A person can hold several roles at once. Tick every hat they wear. See Roles and seats.
  • Client can’t be combined with any other role. Ticking it clears the others, and a client invite is always scoped to a single client organization.
  • Role names follow your workspace’s custom names. See Members and role names.

Inviting clients

The quickest way to invite a client user is from the client itself. In Settings → Clients, open the client and choose Invite client. The client organization is filled in for you. See Add a client.

What the invitee sees

  1. They open the link and see Join followed by your workspace name, who invited them, and the roles they’ll get.
  2. If they aren’t signed in, they choose Sign in to accept and sign in with Google or an email code. New people get an account automatically.
  3. They choose the Join button and land in your workspace, on the dashboard for their role.

If a link has expired, been revoked or been used up, the page says This invitation is no longer available and asks them to request a fresh link. Someone who is already a member is simply taken to the workspace.

Managing invitations

Every invitation appears in the Invitations card with its status:

PendingWaiting to be accepted. Shows its expiry date, and for links, how many times it has been used.
AcceptedThe person joined. Deleting the record later doesn’t affect their access.
RevokedYou withdrew it. The link no longer works.
ExpiredIt passed its expiry date. Create a new one if they still need access.
  • Copy link shows the link of a pending invitation so you can send it again. Hide link tucks it away.
  • Revoke withdraws a pending invitation right away.
  • The bin icon deletes a revoked, expired or accepted invitation from the list.
  • Clear resolved removes every accepted, revoked and expired invitation at once. Members keep their access.
