Share links.
Send a file, a whole folder or a hand-picked set of files to anyone with a no-login link, with control over downloads, comments and expiry.
Share links hand files to people outside your workspace (a printer, a media buyer, a freelancer, the client’s legal team) without creating accounts. The recipient opens a clean page with your files, can preview each one in the review viewer, and takes what you’ve allowed them to take.
What you can share
| Share | Where to start |
|---|---|
| One file | Share link… in the file’s More actions menu |
| A folder | Share folder… in the folder’s options menu |
| A hand-picked set (up to 200 files) | Select the files, then Share on the bulk bar |
Links and storyboards can’t be shared as files; UpRush skips them and tells you how many were left out. To share a storyboard or script, use its own review link (see Storyboards and Scripts). To collect notes on a single asset, see Guest review links.
Creating a link
- Start from one of the places above. The dialog is titled Share this file, Share this folder or Share these files.
- Give the link a Label (optional), for example "Brand assets for Acme".
- For a folder, decide on Include subfolders (on by default).
- Decide on Allow download (on by default). Off means the recipient sees the files and thumbnails, and nothing leaves.
- Decide on Allow comments (off by default). Guests open files in the review viewer either way; on lets them leave notes after giving a name.
- Pick when it expires: 7 days, 30 days (the default) or 90 days.
- Click Create link. It’s copied to your clipboard and listed under Active links.
Folder links don’t include storyboards, even when they’re filed in the folder.
What the recipient sees
- A page headed Shared file, Shared folder or Shared files.
- A grid of the files with thumbnails. In a folder link with subfolders, they can open subfolders and use the path at the top to go back up.
- Clicking a file opens it in the review viewer (images, video, audio, PDFs). Notes they leave there, if allowed, show up on that file for your team.
- If downloads are allowed, a download button on each file and a Download all button that zips the files loaded on the page. Subfolders aren’t included in the zip.
- Large folders load in pages, with a Load more button and a "Showing 48 of 520" style count.
Managing links
Open the same share dialog again to see every link for that file, folder or set. Each shows its label, settings and expiry date.
- Copy puts the link back on your clipboard.
- Click Notes on or Notes off on a link to switch comments without creating a new link.
- The revoke button asks "Revoke this link?" and then turns it off immediately. Anyone holding it loses access straight away. You can always create a new one.
- Expired and revoked links stay listed, marked Expired or Revoked.
