Connect UpRush to Claude or ChatGPT.

Add UpRush as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code, then ask your AI to set up projects, check your week or send a request. It works as you, with your permissions.

For everyoneUpdated 2026-10-22

UpRush works with AI apps that support custom connectors. Once connected, you can ask Claude or ChatGPT to turn a brief into a project, tell you what is due, draft a proposal, or, for clients, show what is waiting for your approval. The AI acts as you: it sees exactly what you can see in UpRush and nothing more.

The connector URL

Every app below asks for the same address: https://uprush.work/api/mcp. You will also find it, with a copy button, in UpRush under Settings → Integrations (clients: the avatar menu).

Connect your app

Vendors move their settings around from time to time, so the steps name the place rather than every click.

Claude (claude.ai and the Claude desktop app)

  1. Open Claude’s settings and go to its connector settings.
  2. Choose to add a custom connector.
  3. Name it UpRush and paste the connector URL above.
  4. Select Connect. UpRush opens in your browser.
  5. Sign in if asked, check what Claude will be able to do, then select Approve.

ChatGPT (chatgpt.com)

  1. Open ChatGPT’s settings and find its connectors (sometimes called Apps).
  2. If adding your own connector needs developer mode, turn it on there.
  3. Add a custom connector, name it UpRush and paste the connector URL above. If asked how it signs in, choose OAuth.
  4. Connect, sign in to UpRush if asked, then select Approve.

Claude Code (the terminal)

  1. Run the command below once.
  2. In Claude Code, run /mcp, pick uprush and choose to authenticate.
  3. UpRush opens in your browser. Sign in if asked, then select Approve.

The command: claude mcp add --transport http uprush https://uprush.work/api/mcp

Whichever app you use, the last step happens on UpRush: a screen names the app, shows what it will and won’t be able to do, and waits for Approve. If you are new to UpRush you accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy first.

Things to ask

For the team

  • “Turn this brief into a project with tasks and deliverables, internal deadlines, and assign it to <name>.”
  • “What’s on my plate this week?”
  • “Draft a proposal for <lead> from these notes.”

For clients

  • “What’s waiting for my approval?”
  • “Send a new request: <what you need, and by when>.”

What it can and can’t do

It can:

  • Read the projects, tasks, files and leads you can see in UpRush
  • Create projects, tasks, proposal drafts, leads, scripts and comments for you

It can’t:

  • Send emails, proposals or contracts
  • Delete anything
  • Touch payments

It also never changes a task’s status. Comments it adds for the team are internal by default, and clients only ever reach their own portal’s requests and deliverables.

Privacy

  • It acts as you. The AI signs in with your UpRush account and your permissions. Whatever you can’t see, it can’t see either.
  • You can see what it did. Anything it creates is marked with the app’s name, for example “via Claude”, in the activity.
  • Disconnect any time. Connected AI apps (under Settings → Integrations, or the clients’ AI page) lists every app you connected. Disconnect stops it at once; you can connect again later.
  • It never sends anything for you. No emails, proposals or contracts leave UpRush because an AI asked. It never deletes and never touches payments.
  • What you type into the AI app is handled by that app under its own privacy terms.

Questions

Does it cost extra?

No. Connecting is part of UpRush. Your AI app may need a plan that supports custom connectors.

I belong to more than one workspace. Which one does it use?

All of the ones you belong to. Name the workspace in your request when it matters, and the AI picks the right one.

I’m not in a workspace yet. Can I still connect?

Yes. The AI will find nothing to work on until you join or create a workspace.

Can a client’s AI see our internal work?

No. A client’s AI sees what the client sees in their portal: their own requests, deliverables and the client-visible statuses. Internal statuses, deadlines, comments, quotes and costs stay out of reach.

Can someone else connect to my account?

Only by signing in as you and selecting Approve on the UpRush screen. If you see an app you don’t recognise under Connected AI apps, disconnect it.
