Create your workspace.
Sign in with Google or an email code, enter your access code, then name your studio, pick its web address, timezone and Task ID prefix.
A workspace is your studio inside UpRush. Creating one takes about a minute: sign in, enter your access code, and fill in a short form about your company. Everything you enter here can be changed later in Settings.
1. Sign in
UpRush has no passwords. You sign in with Google, or with a one-time code sent to your email.
- Open the sign-in page and choose Continue with Google, or type your address into Email and choose Continue with email.
- If you used email, check your inbox for a 6-digit code and type it into the boxes. You can paste the whole code at once.
- Code expired or never arrived? Use Resend code to get a fresh one, or Use a different email to start over.
2. Enter your access code
UpRush is invite-only for now. The first time you sign in without belonging to any workspace, you will see UpRush is invite-only and a field for your access code.
- Type your code into Access code. It looks like
UPR-XXXX-XXXX. - Choose Continue.
3. Set up your workspace
Next comes Set up your workspace. Fill in the fields and choose Create workspace.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Your name | Shown only if your profile has no name yet. Teammates and clients see this name on comments and assignments. |
| Company name | Your studio’s name, at least 2 characters. It appears across the app, the client portal and your documents. |
| Workspace URL | The web address of your workspace. Lowercase letters, numbers and dashes only. If it is taken, UpRush adds a short suffix. |
| Timezone | The workspace timezone. Deadlines are read in this zone. |
| Task ID prefix | 2 to 4 letters that start every task ID. UpRush picks one from your studio name (for example, Motion Farm becomes MF, so tasks read MF-GEN-0001). |
| What do you make? (optional) | A one-line description of your studio. |
| Website (optional) | Your studio’s website. |
4. The setup wizard
As soon as the workspace exists, UpRush opens the setup wizard. It walks you through your logo and defaults, inviting your team, adding a first client and creating a first project. Every step can be skipped.
Opening another workspace
Already a member of a workspace? You can open one more of your own without an access code. Open your avatar menu and choose New workspace. Each person can create one workspace this way. To open more after that, you’ll need an access code, so get in touch with the UpRush team.
If you are a client in someone else’s workspace, the same menu item reads Try UpRush for your team. Your new workspace is completely separate from the one where you are a client.
If something goes wrong
- “That URL is taken. Try a different slug.” Pick another Workspace URL.
- “The task ID prefix must be 2-4 letters.” Use letters only, between 2 and 4 of them.
- “UpRush is invite-only. You need an access code to create a workspace.” Go back and enter your access code.
