Guest review links.

Send a single asset to anyone, no account or login needed, and collect their notes straight onto the frame.

Not everyone who needs to weigh in has an UpRush account: a client’s CMO, a talent agent, a legal reviewer. A guest review link opens one asset in the review viewer for anyone holding the link. They can watch, listen or read, and (if you allow it) leave notes that land in the same rail your team works from.

Video walkthrough coming soonWalkthrough: guest review links
  1. Open the file in the review viewer.
  2. Click the share icon in the top bar. The Share this asset dialog opens.
  3. Optionally give the link a Label (optional), such as "Round 2 client review", so you can tell your links apart later.
  4. Choose whether guests can comment with Let them leave notes (on by default).
  5. Choose whether they can download with Allow download (off by default, because a link to look at isn’t a link to keep).
  6. Pick when it expires under Expires in: 7 days, 30 days (the default) or 90 days.
  7. Click Create link. The link is copied to your clipboard ("Link created and copied") and appears under Active links.

Send the link however you like: email, chat, a message in UpRush. Anyone with it can open the asset until it expires or you revoke it.

What guests see and can do

  • The file’s latest version. Upload a new version and the same link shows it.
  • Only Client-stream notes. Internal notes never appear on a guest link.
  • No version switcher, no compare, no approve or request-changes buttons, and no sharing.
  • A download button only if you turned on Allow download.
  • If notes are allowed: the composer, the drawing tools, and replies to existing notes. If not, the rail shows "Viewing only".

How a guest leaves a note

Guests aren’t stopped at the door. They can start writing right away; the first time they post, UpRush asks "Leave your name to comment" (or "Almost there. Who should we credit?" if they already wrote something) with a Your name field and an optional email. After that they comment like anyone else, and their name sticks on that browser for later links too.

Guest notes land in the Client stream of the file, credited to the name they gave, and your team is notified. Reply to them from the viewer as you would to any note.

Open Share this asset again to see every link for the file. Each row shows its label, who created it and when, when it expires, and how many times it’s been viewed, plus icons for whether comments and downloads are allowed.

  • Copy puts the link back on your clipboard.
  • Revoke link turns it off immediately. Revoked and expired links stay in the list, marked Revoked or Expired, so you have a record.
  • Need different settings? Create a new link. You can have several live links per file, for example one with downloads for the editor and one without for the client’s board.
