Storage and limits.

How much your workspace can store, what counts toward it, file size limits, and what to do when you run low.

Storage in UpRush is pooled across the workspace: everyone draws from the same allowance, and it grows with your team. This page covers how the allowance is worked out, what counts toward it, and the per-file limits you’ll meet when uploading.

Your allowance

PlanStorage
Free2 GB for the workspace
UpRush Pro50 GB per management seat, pooled across the workspace
Library packAdds 250 GB for $25 a month or $250 a year

Management seats are the people who hold Owner, Admin, Team Manager, Dedicated Expert, Finance or Sales roles. A workspace with four seats on Pro has 200 GB to share, however it’s split. Production members, clients and guests are free and don’t add or use seats. See Roles and seats.

Checking your usage

  1. Go to Settings and open Plan & usage. Owners, Admins and Finance can see it.
  2. The Storage panel shows how much is used out of your total, with a bar that turns amber past 80% and red past 95%.
  3. The line under the bar explains the total, for example "50 GB × 4 management seats, pooled".

See Plan and usage for the rest of that page.

What counts

Counts toward storageDoesn’t count
Files you upload, and every version of themLinks you paste, including Google Drive files
Files in the Trash, until they’re purgedThumbnails, filmstrips and posters UpRush makes
Review copies attached for playback
Signatures and the PDFs UpRush generates

Deleting files frees space, but only once they leave the Trash. Use Delete forever in the Trash to free it right away. See The Library.

Per-file limits

WhatLimit
A file in the Library, a task, a deliverable or a project5 GB
An image in a comment10 MB
An image in a message10 MB
A file attached to a message250 MB
A voice message15 MB, up to 5 minutes
A storyboard frame image25 MB
A review copy for a video500 MB

A file that’s over the limit is refused before it uploads, with a note such as "Too large: 6.2 GB. The limit is 5 GB."

When you run out

When the workspace is full, new uploads are refused with a message like "This workspace is out of storage: 49.9 GB of 50 GB used. Delete old files or upgrade the plan to add room." Existing files keep working and stay downloadable. To get going again:

  • Empty what you don’t need from the Trash with Delete forever.
  • Swap heavy reference files for links (Google Drive, Frame.io, Vimeo), which don’t count. See Google Drive.
  • Add a management seat on Pro, which adds 50 GB to the pool.
  • Add a Library pack: the Storage panel has a link to request one.
